Grant Selection Criteria

With the overabundance of worthwhile organizations and causes in our Nebraska community, one of the most difficult decisions made by the Lute Foundation is which will receive funding. The following criteria will be taken into consideration when a Grant request is made to the Foundation:

1. It effects 50 or more individuals within a given community.
2. It promotes health, safety and/or education.
3. Organization has no direct Religious or Political affiliation(s).
4. Organization is qualified by tax code 501(c)(3) and has a 501(c)(3) tax identification number registered.
5. Organization has board members and a chain of leadership established.
6. Half of donations and/or funding for total project cost has been pledged by others (we strongly consider matching dollars).
7. Firm budgets have been submitted and approved for the fiscal year or total project cost.
8. There is a written project overview or mission statement on file.
9. Overall benefit in relation to other applications received.
